Short-term rentals
On May 7, 2025, Council adopted Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 3134, 2025 to allow short-term rental accommodations in limited situations within the City of Courtenay.

Applying for a zoning amendment
If your proposal does not comply with the current zoning, you may need to apply for a zoning amendment.
This typically applies when:
- A proposed use is not permitted
- Additional density is requested
- Significant changes to regulations are required
